I’m excited to share this before & after nursery closet renovation with you! If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you have probably figured out that Corinna is very into organization and has a Container Store obsession, and I live a more ‘cluttered’ life. So when I was pregnant with Baby E, Corinna gave me a wonderful gift – a complete nursery closet renovation!
We live in an old house built in the 20’s with very few, odd-shaped closets. The nursery closet is deep, but not very wide and at that time was functioning as a catch all coat, linen, and guest room closet. I think just looking at it gave Corinna heart palpitations….
I wanted a flexible closet that could grow with Baby E and included hanging space, drawers, and basket storage. Corinna delivered it all! What isn’t pictured here is how we utilized the side wall space. We hung a shoe organizer on one wall to hold everything from little socks and shoes to hats and mittens. And on the other side we hung a basket with hooks below to hang coats, sleep sacks, a bow organizer, etc. Every inch of the closet space is being utilized.
After the closet was completely transformed and put together, I decided white was too boring. Even a closet needs a pop of color! So we removed everything, my husband painted the closet a lovely shade of pink and Corinna came back over and put it back together again! The gift that keeps on giving….. :)
