Christmas Light Solution

Yesterday I was looking through the Christmas items at Lowe’s and happened upon this great little Christmas light solution which has made turning indoor lights on/off simple.  I had been struggling with moving the credenza, next to my mantel, to plug and unplug the lights (not fun).

Christmas Light Solution by The Sweet Spot Blog

For only $16 I purchased a Remote Control Power System which eliminated the need to move the credenza several times each day.  I simply plugged the converter into an outlet, then plugged the lights into the converter, and finally used the mini remote control to turn the power on and off.  There are 3 converters in the package, which all run on the same remote

This is a great solution for hiding the light cord and plug behind the Christmas tree.  I have found many uses for these converters around my house.  In fact, I quickly used all 3 and went back to purchase another set!

That’s brilliant! I’ve been crawling under the tree all season to turn the lights on and off, then picking pine needles out of my hair! Thanks for the tip. Love your beautiful mantle and stockings by the way….

    Hi Corinna,

Thanks for stopping by my site. I love this idea and I wonder if it would work on the outside lights. For some reason every year I can never get my lights on a proper timer.

    Now a follower!

Clever! Getting our Christmas tree today…this might just be worth the trip to Lowes during the crazy holiday season. Thanks for the tip! Beautiful pic too – candles in the fireplace look great.

I have one of those switches on a bedroom lamp and just love it. Never thought about using one on the all the Christmas lights. The one on the mantel is the hardest to get to.
Thanks for the reminder. For the tree, we have a step on button in the extension card and that is so convenient … in fact we use it on our floor lamp in the living room now.
    Happy Christmas
