Green Cocktails: The Green Hornet

St. Patrick’s Day was one of my favorite holidays…until a few years ago when I drank a green beer which turned my teeth green.  Needless to say, it was not pretty!  Due to that experience, I now stick with green cocktails on St. Patrick’s Day.

Green Cocktails: The Green Hornet by The Sweet Spot Blog

The Green Hornet is one of those drinks that takes me back to my college days.  It is just the right amount of sweet and sour that goes down so easy.  Hence the popularity at fraternity parties!

I already have all the ingredients at my house ready for the big day.  What is your favorite green cocktail?  Please share your recipe in the comments below.  I would love to add another drink to my ‘green’ menu!

Green Hornet Cocktail

1 oz Midori melon liqueur
1.5 oz Malibu coconut rum
Splash of Triple Sec liqueur
Pineapple juice
Maraschino cherries
Fresh pineapple

Fill tall glass with ice.  Add Midori, Malibu rum, and splash of Triple Sec.  Fill to top with pineapple juice.  Garnish with fresh pineapple and marashchino cherries.  Drink.

There would be something deeply troubling about you if you didn’t drink it! Great blog Corrina! Though I don’t always find them applicable, I do appreciate the thought that goes into each one. Keep up the great work.

I like drinking/eating green things because it makes me feel that I’m doing something that’s good for me. I think that’s usually true in most cases! Great recipe…look forward to making this at home sometime.
