Stage House to Sell!: Dining Room

We have been working on our ‘stage house’ skills to list this spring and are almost ready!  One of the first areas of concern was our dining room.  Normal people like to eat in their dining room…instead we decided to erect a pool table for entertainment purposes.

Even though a pool table in the dining room works well for how we live, it is not the norm.  We want ‘normal’ and all potential buyers to picture themselves living in our house.  That meant removing the pool table and replacing it with a dining room table.  Here is the after affect:

Very nice transformation. We, too, once used a dining room as a family, tv room, then came time to sell the house. Fortunately for me, I’ve always understood that my house became a product to sell and not just my home, so I’ve never had issues with changes things to entice a buyer. Once question ( and comment)–Love the shelves up on the wall with the potted plants. wish you had a closer picture of that. Is that just an old metal shelf that you hung on the wall?–love, love, love!

I think the transformation is great, I would, however, display the pics when you had the pool table. I’m currently working with a young man who would never use a formal dining room, but would use the space for his pool table. Good job.
