Ron and I live in a house that is nearly 100 years old. When we first moved in, the claw foot bath tub, in the guest bathroom, was in terrible shape. It seemed to be the original tub and fit perfectly in the space, so I wanted to keep it. Unfortunately it was really chipped and dingy. Someone mentioned that I should have it professionally reglazed. Tub reglazing turned out to be a fabulous suggestion!
One google search, and a few calls later, I found a tub reglazing company in my area. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only was it really cheap (around $250 for both inside and outside the tub) but they could also match any color! I choose bright white for the interior and chocolate brown for the exterior. I love the contrast in color, especially the dark brown against the white floors and shore blue walls. It makes me smile each time I walk by….

That is an amazing tub! I want it…bad. Thanks for stopping by on my SITS Day earlier this week!

The color is my favorite part too!
That is such a beautiful bathroom and fabulous looking tub. The brown was an inspired choice. I had no idea you could have something like that done for such a great price! I wonder what else they could reglaze that I have around here… ? Now you have my creative juices flowing!
Thanks for letting us see inside your bathroom.

I had the same thought about reglazing something else. Do you think they can reglaze antique door knobs?
Corinna, I LOVE that! What a gorgeous bathroom, and what a great way to preserve such a fantastic tub!
I’d bet that this tub could last forever…with a new reglaze every 10 years or so.
Love it and what a great price! We are redoing our bathroom and the best price we could get was $850 for inside and out of our clawfoot so we had them do the inside for $425 and we did the outside ourselves.
I have no idea how this company did it for so cheap…maybe it was a special?
Beautiful!!

Any change in your environment that makes you smile is an ongoing payback. I also love the chocolate brown, so restful as a bathroom should be. Great photo for the post. Enjoy Saturday Sharefest.
