Valentine’s Day for Kids

Like most of my married girlfriends, I look forward to Valentine’s Day.  Why?  Because it is the one day out of the year that our husbands are guaranteed to take us out for a nice romantic dinner.  We get the cocktails, dinner, and dessert, but what about Valentine’s Day for Kids?

Valentine's Day for Kids by The Sweet Spot Blog

We started a tradition of creating a special Valentine’s Day with Kids celebration years ago and it has caught on with our friends.  We now host a late afternoon pink lemonade party with special Valentine’s Day desserts.  The kids feel special and the moms do not feel so bad leaving the kids at home (with a babysitter) on that special night.

What do you do for your kids on Valentine’s Day?

Seriously loving those cupcake flags! I never do much for Valentine’s Day but I’d like to try and make this year special for my daughter. Thanks for the inspiration :) #SITSblogging

I’ve never been a big Valentine’s type girl, but since having kids, I enjoy it. Actually, my husband and I only exchange cards but we shower the kids in all things lovey for the day. My kids,5 and 2 love being in the kitchen, so we usually bake something together that day.

What a cute idea to do a kids’ V-day party! I don’t do anything for Valentine’s Day, it’s just not a holiday for me and my husband, but making something of it with the kids is a great idea! #SITSBlogging
